Those Crazy Greeks ...

I went to a festival the other day where there was crazy fun dancing music, tasty food, and exciting games, all with a bunch of really great friends.  Here are some picture from my time at the annual Greek Festival ...

Started off dancing with my best buddy Mathew ...

... then tasted some great dishes between
two of my favorite people, Mommy and Nikki ...

... and then I played fast paced exciting games
(I won big prizes scooping eggs up from water) ...

... I even had some help from Mommy
with some of the bigger kid games!!!

Mathew won big with his Daddy's help too!!!

"Working at the Car Wash" ...

Avery's latest business venture

With all the rain we had yesterday, I decided that I could make some spending money (for buying Christmas gifts, of course) by opening up a car wash.  I even hired my first employee, Shannon.  Well, technically I made her a co-owner, but I'm still the CEO!  We're calling our business, "Kiddie Car Care"!!!

Consider stopping by for the best car wash you'll ever have.  Notice the line of vehicles in the pic above ... we are that good!!!

What!!! Thanksgiving is this week!?!!?!?

Oh no!  Mommy goofed ... she thought Thanksgiving was weeks away, but since it's only days from today, I had to help her ransack the market, even grabbing a shopping cart that was just my size so we could split up the shelf space where anything low goes into my cart and Mommy takes the stuff up high for her cart.

What's going to work????  TEAMWORK!!!

Happy Halloween!!!

Happy Halloween!!!

My Halloween adventure this year started out way fun and blasted off into the realm of super-fun territory!  Here are a bunch of pictures taken along the way ...

Avery and Mathew at the Pumpkin Patch ...

... there was even a petting zoo ...

... with goats that swallowed WHOLE PUMPKINS!!!

We took a hay ride out to the pumpkin patch ...

... and I had to lead Mommy to where
all the good pumpkins were hiding ...

... since there were lots of pumpkins
that didn't look so great ...

... but I knew it when I found
just the right one, or rather it found me!

Then we took them home and gutted, carved, and
showcased our Great Pumpkins (the first pic) for all
to see ... and ate lots of pumpkin seeds as well!

Next was 'Trick or Treat' time, so
guess what I was this year ... here's a hint,
it starts with 'snow' and ends with 'white'!

My good friend Shannon (or rather Sleeping Beauty)
and I loaded up in our chariot with out empty bags ...

... and our trusty white mare
(Shannon's Mommy) took us on our way ...

... and my other good friends (Nikki, Dan, and Sedona)
came too and even got all dressed up (just as I told them),
where I said one should be a bunny, one a dead frog,
and another a dog (guess who dressed up as which)!

This was our first stop, she was a REALLY nice lady who
gave us BIG-SIZED candy bars ...

... this was out next stop,
it was more scarier than the first ...

... and then this was the next one,
even more scarier ...
... now this house could have been VERY scary
except they dressed up EXACTLY the same
as last year so it didn't seem so scary this year!

Sedona even got 'treats' as well ...
although she preferred 'tricking' people instead
(like yanking Nikki all around everywhere) ...

... Shannon also liked pulling 'tricks',
such as tricking her Mommy by
EATING HER CANDY along the way!!!

Grandma Judy and Grandpa Eric stop by for a swim ...

Avery swimming with Grandma and Grandpa
Grandma Judy and Grandpa Eric drove all the way into town the other day just to come over for a swim party (any day in the pool is a "swim party" to me).  Then we went out to eat and even went riding on some big horn sheep ...

I protest Daddy's protest ...

Avery (or maybe someone else) concealing
her identity at the local "Occupy Wall Street" protest

So what am I to do?  Daddy wanted to go fight some injustices in the world the other day and he dragged me along with him.  I guess some people are upset about bankers doing what bankers do best, so all of those upset people got together to make signs, talk on loudspeakers, and live in the park to show everyone that they were really really mad about rich bankers (or something like that).  While we were there, I tried to be very "low profile" since you never know where I might end up someday ... maybe someday I'll want to be a big fat rich banker too!!!

Bedtime stories for everyone ...

Avery and the dogs listen to Mommy read bedtime stories

My bedtime routine changes from time to time, but reading stories right before bed has always been one thing that has remained constant.  A new routine has recently begun though where the dogs now join us and listen to the stories.  Mommy even shows them the pictures sometimes too!  Maybe someday when I'm older they'll sleep in my bed with me and I can read them stories as they fall asleep!!!

PS  Happy Birthday Auntie Em ... I love you and hope to see you soon!

Things I Get To Do When Mommy Goes Away ...

Mommy had to go away on a work trip a few weeks ago and when she came back she wanted to know all about what I did while she was gone.  So here you go, Mommy ... here's a collage of what Averys do when their Mommies are away ...

Dress up like a fashionable diva ...

... hang out with my good buddy Langston ...

... make new friends on the playground ...

... sleep in my running stroller
while Daddy runs ...

... hang out with my good buddy Mathew ...

... eat salty popcorn while watching
"Winnie The Pooh" at a
REAL movie theater ...

... eat free food from the
nice old ladies of Costco ...

... play in a huge pool of balls
(can you find me???) ...

... eat every lunch in a store's "Eating Department" ...

... hang up all my artwork everywhere ...

... have a nice grilled dinner outside with Daddy ...

... build a house with my Lincoln Logs ...

... water all the plants ...

... wake up with a beautiful double rainbow
right outside my bedroom window ...

... go to sleep wherever I want to ...

... take the dogs for a long walk ...

... no really, go to sleep wherever I want to ...

... win first prize in a Lego's contest ...

... eat things that make my tongue turn blue ...

... have my good watchdog Scrappy
guard my door while I sleep
(that is when I do sleep in my bedroom)!!!
