One day we suddenly noticed how lonely and boring
the front yard looked, so ...
... we decided to do something about it and build something new ...
... something amazing, with a little roof ...
... something interesting, with a picture frame as a door ...
... something flashy, with leftover tin backsplash kitchen trim!!!
It would stand up super straight and tall ...
... and we thought to ourselves,
"What color should we paint it?"
and of course the answer was PINK!!!
"So what the heck is it?" you ask???
"Is it a birdhouse??? No, too big!!!"
"Is it a people house??? No, too small!!!"
"Is it a dollhouse??? No, wouldn't be a very fun dollhouse!!!"
"So just what the heck does it do and why does it have legs???"
you would ask ...
... "Ooh, I see. It's sort of like a bench, right???"
"So a bench with a little house?!?!??"
"And now there's a sign. Well, what does it say?!!??!?!"
"And now it's full of stuff?!?!?! What's in there?!?!?
Come-on, what does your sign say?!!??!?!"
... "Ooh, I've seen these before.
It's a Little Free Library. Sweeet!!!"

We were quickly surprised by how many neighbors
came by to use it ...
