Judge Avery ...

Mommy asked me if I would give her some pointers and judge her like she's in a riding competition. I hope she can handle it ...

Avery enjoying the nice summer day at the barn
(right before judging begins)

Good hands,  Mommy!  And very good sitting,
err, I mean riding ...

"Mommy's riding was a 'slam dunk'
(that means really good)!"

Lovely Day For Shopping ...

This weather has been so nice lately that I thought I would get all dressed up and go do some shopping!!!

Avery making sure her wallet and
chapstick are in her purse ...

... now, which stores to go shopping in ...

... first one quick detour to "stop and smell the flowers" ...

... look, a little foot path just my size!!!

Looks like Avery would rather hang out
in the flowers than go shopping any day!!!

Translation ...
Welcome.
Long time no see.  What size shoes do you wear?  No, you have clown feet!  I'll take them.

FYI, I just love my new original Holland clogs as much as Mommy and Daddy seem to enjoy them as I run around stomping though the house!!!

My first blind play-date ...

Nikki and I went to the zoo the other day with a plan to meet up with one of her friends for a "play-date".  Normally I like to first have met my so-called "play-mate" before initiating any said "play-date" (just in case they are really smelly or unruly or anything like that), but because Nikki spoke so highly of Langston, I agreed to go on the "blind play-date".  Lucky for me she was exactly right about Langston, although there were some moments were I wasn't so sure ...

Avery and Langston right after first meeting
at the zoo for their play-date ...

... uh oh, what's that horrible smell ... oh, thank goodness
it's only those stinky monkeys right next to us ...

... Avery and Langston walking around
as best friends, after only a short while ...

... and then Langston giving Avery a
big hug at the end of the great day!!!

Sleepover @ G&G's

Even though it probably breaks Mommy and Daddy's heart each and every time I ask, last weekend I begged, pleaded, and cried for hours and hours so that I might get the chance to have a sleepover at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Well, it worked perfectly as planned this time ... and I had the most amazing time ever!!!

Sleepover started with arts & crafts with Grandma ...

... which then led to playtime, or rather extreme
washup time, in the sink ...

... which then led to dinner out with my
favorite dinning companion (Grandma's iPad) ...

... which then led to 2 hrs of bathtime in the Black Lagoon ...

... which then finally led to storytime
(Grandma read me 20 books!) and then off to bed!!!

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for the fun time!!!

My house inside my house ...

Avery inside her brand new home

I finally achieved the American dream last week ... my very own first house!!!  Now I can live by MY RULES and do what I want, when I want.  No more listening to Mommy and Daddy for me; well, unless it's something really really important since technically my house is still under the roof of their house ... for now.

Painting your house is always the first big
step towards making it feel like home ...

... and I still have a lot to do, but it's already
feeling more and more like home by the minute!!!

Snow Day ...

Avery in her fashionable snow outfit

There was tons of snow on the mountain tops this past weekend, so we loaded up the car and drove up the winding mountain passage for a picnic in the snow!!!  Luckily, my good friends Lilly and Will were able to join me on such short notice; and of course all of our parents came too since none of us are old enough to drive yet ...

Avery's lovely picnic in the snow ...

... and learning how to make "snowballs"...

... and then turning them into "snow persons"

Daddy impromptu snow sledding
(FYI, an old durable plastic cleaning bag
works very very well in a pinch)

A beautiful end to our snow day, sipping hot chocolate
and watching the skiers from the ski lodge

Future Tennis Champion Avery ...

Future Tennis Champion Avery

It was very very very cold this last weekend, so Mommy and I decided to play our favorite game indoors ... tennis!!!  Though since we played indoors, the rule is that instead of using tennis balls you have to use a balloon ... and it's just as fun with a balloon ... maybe even more fun ... try it sometime ...

Avery serving to Mommy ...

... and Mommy lobs it back towards Avery ...

... Avery extending far far back to return it, until ...

... she notices it is a long ball and is heading out of bounds ...
putting Avery in the lead!!!

Avery nicely returning the balloon
for Mommy's next serve

Watch out Auntie Em, your next ... you better start practicing!!!

The Fancy Poodle Spa is now open ...

My new salon and full spa business is now open to the public, so consider making an appointment all of you out there.  Here are a few pictures of the exclusive private opening I had a few weeks ago to test out the overall concept and our operations.

The Fancy Poodle Spa's main entrance and working area
Avery testing out the comfort level of
the seating arrangements ...

... and the temperature of the hand/foot spa

Avery's good friend Nikki was her first test client ...

... watch as Avery practices her precise
attention-to-detail nail skills ...

... Avery's slow and exact movements help
produce a perfectly finished product ...

... behold, Avery provided perfect coverage
of Nikki's nails (plus a little extra on the edges)!!!

And my greatest feat that day was Mommy's desperately
needed updo that went late into the night
(and even past bedtime)

Crazy Cookie Party Part 2: The Post-sugar Party

(continuation from the previous blog entry, titled: Crazy Cookie Party Part 1: The Pre-sugar Rush )

So after all of that preparation, hard work, and creative imagination, you can image what all comes next, right!??!?!?

Tons and tons of cookie eating!!!!

Shannon diving into our cookie party rewards!!!

Mathew sampling 3 cookies at a time!!!

Avery deciding which cookie to gobble up next!!!

Actually it was so hard to decide which cookies to eat, I just couldn't help myself (as the video below shows) ...

Avery, Matthew, and Shannon in high sugar-octane
gear during the cookie party

Below is the last video of the night, where for whatever reason I can't remember much of it ... after devouring so many cookies, my memory just when completely blank ...

Crazy Cookie Party Part 1: The Pre-sugar Rush

Avery, Mathew, and Shannon having a cookie party

The other day was so boring, just completely absolutely boring, that I decided to host a last minute cookie party with some friends.  Luckily my good friends Mathew and Shannon could make it over on short notice and we all had so much fun!!!  Here's a bunch of pictures and videos of our spectacular time ...

Since all the mommies first had to get together and make the gooey cookie batter, we kiddos decided to play until they were done ... guess what we're playing in this video below ...

With the batter all made, Mathew's mommy loaded up the
gooey cookie batter into the fancy "cookie gun" ...

... and then Shannon and her mommy helped me
design a bunch of cookies ...

Here's another video showing our creative design process at work ...

After baking all the pretty cookies, we decorated them
with frosting and sprinkles and candies and
sugar and more sugar and even more sugar!!!

Below is another video showing our creative cookie decoration process ...

Well, that's all I have time for right now ... you'll have to watch for the rest of the cookie party coming in the next blog entry, called:
Crazy Cookie Party Part 2: The Post-Sugar Party
