Happy 5th Birthday, Avery!!!

Emery "bouncing it up" with big sis Avery

Leading up to Avery's 5th birthday party extravaganza, I secretly overheard Mommy and Daddy talking about "kids bouncing through the air" and "humongous gigantic castles rising from our backyard" ... what does it all mean?!??! I could hardly wait, so we counted down each day leading up to the huge birthday bash using a super cool calendar Becca (my Nanny) made.

 Countdown to Avery's birthday

When the grand day finally arrived, it was all something I can't even explain in words!!! Watch all the videos below to see for yourself  ...

Avery perfected her professional exit strategy from her castle ...

Both of us getting our bouncy bounce on in the gigantic castle ...

Everyone had a great time, especially me ...

Plus there was lots of cake for everyone ...

... and Avery BFF from school, Chiara, was there ...

... and even Mommy bounced up and down and all around ...

... and of course Daddy got a little crazy
bouncing wildly all around ... oh Daddy!

Always ready for anything, anytime ...

Emery preparing for her daily brutal workout

Being an investigator, I always have to be ready for anything at anytime. I have to constantly train and be 100% ready to overcome any obstacle, any inconvenience, at any moments notice. Below are a small sampling of videos from my daily workout sessions ...

I call these my "Stand-up Talls" ...

And this one is called my "Rock-a-bye Giddy-Ups" ...

And then this one I call my "Low Couch Crawl" ...

... while I call this one my "High Couch Crawl" ...

This one I like to call " Riding the Lightning" ...

This one I call "What to do when wild animals attacks" ...

And this one is called my "End-of-the-day relaxation time" ...

Wild West Road Trip ...

Fast food with some fast fun during our road trip

Daddy hauled us all away one weekend on a long road trip, out to where he came from ... and no, it wasn't Mars, but very close to it!!! We had lots of fun and saw strange and interesting sights. Follow along to see what I mean ...

Emery bouncing on Grandma Judy

Avery trying on her new "dressy" dress

Lots of neat new stuff to bring back home!

We built lots of neat things ...

... drove in floating cars ...

... fed the fighting ducks ...

... swung on countless swings ...

... played with a set of "double trouble" twins ...

... just kidding, actually Gianna and Alexa were a lot of fun!!!

Everyone we met were loads of fun!

We saw tons of weird shaped buildings ...

... statues that glimmered in the light ...

... endless rows of flowers everywhere ...

... deep flowing rivers of chocolate ...

... it was so strange and interesting,
it felt just like a dream!!!

Mysteries of the Universe ...

Being young and very little (and constantly watched over), I have tons of time on my hands to just sit around and think. It's amazing all of the questions that can pop into your head! Here are just a few mysteries that are on the top of my "To Solve" list ...

Where does water come from ...
and then where does it go???

Why do bones for dogs taste so doggone good???

 Where do stairs go
(someone always grabs me
before I can find out)???

Why is my sister so awesome???

 Where does the sun go???

What size of vehicle do these keys open???

Why can't I squeeze large things into my mouth???

Why does the spoon handle taste as good
or even better than the spoon end???

Why oh why do my parents keep dressing
me in such tight fitting clothes
(or are these instead "baby spanx")???

It takes more than a skull fracture to keep me down ...

Emery being treated for a skull fracture at the hospital

Thanks again to everyone out there for the great outpouring of concern over my recent accident. I guess you can call me "thick headed", "hard headed", "unbreakable", etc since my multi-inch skull fracture across the back of my head really hasn't slowed me down much and will heal all by itself over time. The most annoying part of it all was sitting in the emergency room for hours and hours and hours.

It's still all a giant blur as to what exactly happened, but I'm very glad that I had family right there with me before, during, and after the accident (although it would have been better if they were only an observer instead of a participant, especially the whole "falling down right on top of me as I hit the ground").

Note to self, I need to start walking on my own so I don't have to worry about someone fumbling me again in the future!!!

Mommy Is Gone!?!!?

I guess Mommy really does have a REAL job (outside of taking care of Avery and me, that is) which sometimes has her going away on long overnight business trips for days and days and days. Last weekend was just one of those times, but there was no need for alarm since Daddy had everything under control ... and even made some typical everyday happenings much much more fun!!!

Starting with hot dogs for breakfast and a side of jellybeans ...

... followed by super-duper long playtime to totally go berserk ...
just watch the videos below and see ...

Even bath time wasn't the same since who really needs
soap anyway when you have super fast splashing abilities ...

... and lastly, who needs calm bedtime stories when a bed can
instantly turn into a wrestle-mania ring until we both pass out!!!

Such an awesome time, Daddy!!!

To All My Doubters ...

Emery hard at work on the blog

There has been a lot of internet scuttlebutt lately that it's impossible for me (Emery here, as usual) to produce such a skillfully crafted blog all on my own and thus, this is all an elaborate hoax. Now to be fair, I must admit that I have all the help, love, and support a baby like me could ever hope for from my wonderful family. Also my big sister Avery has taught me all the ins-n-outs of blogging. But rest assured and without a doubt that I am indeed the main innovator, designer, and implementer of this great blog forum you see right here in front of you.

Thus, below is a video of my formal response to all of the remaining doubters out there ... enjoy!

Duh, Of Course I Can Walk!!!

Emery casually walking to her room

I guess sometimes I even amaze myself (Emery speaking of course).

Everyone was "so surprised" today when I "suddenly" walked up and down the hall, even going as far as pushing a heavy toy for fun. Little did they all know that I have been secretly walking for months now and only crawling when I knew they were watching me.

Why would I conceal all of this, you ask? Well see, I prefer to be babied and we all know once they see you walking, then next it's help do this, help do that, here are your weekly chores, and on and on and on.

Who wants all that busy-body work??? Not me!!!

Here's a video Daddy took of me today (since he really thinks this is something "new") ...

At least it was fun to finally let everyone in on my secret. Avery and I even had some fun playing "chicken" all day long!

Beep, beep ... Emery trying to "run over" Avery ...

... anyone is fair game when Emery is on the loose!

The Mystery of the Sky Turning Upside-down ...

Even though I (Emery here again since I like typing most of the blog nowadays) was only born a few short months ago, I thought that I had seen it all. That is until just the other day when I saw weird white stuff falling everywhere, straight out of the sky? I ran crying throughout the house warning everyone that we needed to run and hide, but wise big sister Avery told me she knew exactly what was occurring and that it was going to instead be a great fun time ...

Emery not believing her eyes as whiteness
drifted downwards all around outside

View out the front of the house

 View of the backyard

 Avery and Emery's snowman ...
just one of the many that were built

And then the cruel harsh sun melted away
all the snow (and snowmen) ...
that is until next time!!!
