Mommy: "We're just going to take a little break at the mountains."
Me: "Why?"
This is what Mommy said, or at least, what I heard:
"'Cuz Mommy is bored of EVERYTHING right now! And Avery misses GRANDMA and you probably do to! AND MOMMY NEEDS SOME QUIET! And it's Grandma's BIRTHDAY AND WE HAVEN'T SEEN THEM IN FOREVER AND I'M GOING TO LOOSE MY MIND!!"
So..... Mommy, Grandma, Avery and me took a girls trip up into the mountains.
Turns out Mommy wasn't the only person about to loose her mind...
Avery was super difficult to sit next to for four hours in a hot, cramped car.
Especially after she memorized the lyrics to Hamilton...
Grandma was also a little crazy when it was Cake Time (for her birthday).
And Fire Pit Time. This is a picture of her fire.
This is me five minutes into our hike...
Daddy's edit: "HEY, DADDY! YOU SAID YOU WOULDN'T PUT THIS PICTURE IN!!"
'This is Emery after Mommy refused to carry her.'
Emery's response/edit: "DADDDDDDY!!! YOU WEREN'T THERE SO YOU WOULDN'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED AND MOMMY DIDN'T 'REFUSE' TO CARRY ME SHE JUST MISSED OUT ON THE OPPORTUNITY AND FYI WE WERE TAKING A POUTY-FACE PICTURE (SEE MOMMY'S LIPS?) BECAUSE MOMMY ONLY WANTED GOOD, CALM PICTURES OF OUR 'CALMING' TRIP BUT I WASN'T CALM AND WAS ACTUALLY DOING A REAL POUTY-FACE AND MOMMY WAS JUST TRYING TO TAKE GOOD PICTURES *annoyed exhale*!"
*breathes in*

(to herself) "Deep breaths, Emery, deep breaths"

Welp ... this was a calming trip,
I guess quarantine has really gotten underneath everybody's skin!
Oh yeah, and this is what Daddy was doing while we were away ...
