 Avery entered another art show with two 

still life drawings ... one from inside the house ...

 ... and another of a cactus outside ... 

and guess what ....

 ... at the grand art show opening celebration ...

 ... Avery won an "Honorable Mention" in the kids group 

{since her art doesn't really look like a typical kid drawing} ...

... here she is with her other piece ...

Weird {Smelly} Science

For the science fair, we both had really neat 

{or rather SMELLY} projects ...

My project involved SMELLING SMELLY foods

 to see how long it took something that smelled good 

to change into smelling very badly!!!

Mommy helped by drawing very straight lines!!!

Ok, maybe Avery's project wasn't that SMELLY 

being all about Biomedical Hand Designs, 

but think about it ... hands can sometimes be really SMELLY!!!

Book Festival

Emery is ready for some 'book fest' time!!!

Grandpa Charlie even gave a talk at the book festival ...

... we are so proud of you Grandpa!!!

There were so many fun things to see and do, 

even tree climbing ...

... string playing ...

... drum tapping ...

... and best of all, cotton candy eating!!!
