Summer Vacation Trip!!!

We had an extravaganza for this year's bigly summer vacation plans!!! It all started off with a visit from Auntie Em, and then we caught a flight out to the coastline for a humdinger of a wedding, some big-city-living time, and even some relaxing down-time on a fun beach in the mountains!!!

Auntie Em and the girls out on a shopping spree ...

... and then to take in some high-brow art exhibits!!!

Off we go, into the deep blue yonder ...

... racing off to get to our first destination ...

 ... lunch on the wharf!!!

Avery needed a post-lunch nap ...

... while Emery opted for some merry-go-round 
fun time on the sea front ... "Look, no hands!!!"

 Then a quick hello to the famous sea lions ...

... before heading off to the aquarium!!!

 So many cool things to look at ...

 ... and take silly pictures in front of ...

... "Help, we're trapped inside this tank!!!"

We could even touch the aquatic life,

like sting-rays ...

... and starfish and water cucumbers!!!

 Then we explored the Exploratorium ...

 ... and had an exploratory
 drinking fountain experience!!!

Next, off to Chinatown ...


... to end the night with a truly authentic Chinese dinner!!!

Then it was time for the big day ...
 Kenna and Andrew's wedding!!!

Avery, Emery, and cousin Brienne 
all got to be flower girls ...

... one last big group hug ...

... and one last laugh before it's "go" time!!!

 Avery walked in first as the "oldest flower girl" ...

 ... and Emery walked last, bringing up the rear ...

 ... as the cutest three year old flower girl ever!!!

Front row seats, so sweet!!!

After they got hitched, it was time 
for the wedding reception party!!!

 There were tons of cool contraptions ...

... all kinds of toys for kids AND adults!!!

 There were also all sorts of wild animals ...

... tons and tons of crazy creatures behind glass ...

... and even those hidden back deep in caves!!!

Time for dinner ... with some toys, of course ...

... and then it was time to have some crazy fun
 with our crazy cousins ... here we are all 
dress up with our Cousin Jenna ...

... and then it was time to "bust-a-move" on the 

dance floor with the one and only Cousin Travis!

Travis was super fun ...

... but needed some serious help on the dance floor ...

... so Avery showed him how it's done!!!

And then it was time to get all the girls 

together on the dance floor ...

Kenna and Andrew's wedding 

was a super fun time!!!

Next (after a big breakfast that is) it was time to get out 

of the big city and head up into the mountains for some ...

... beach time!??!??!

Who knew there were beaches up there 
in the mountains ... even super big waves ...

... so we all decided to take it easy and ...

... build sandcastles until the sun went down!!!

The next day we explored all around by going on a hike ...

... swimming in the resort pools ...

... and eventually jumping into the cool Lake Tahoe water ...
"It feels soooo good!!!"

We even ran into good old friends ...

... and got to make real S'mores over the firepit!!!

A truly great end to a great trip ...

... although playing Candy-Crush 

in the airport is always super fun too!!!
