Avery, The Archaeologist

The other day Mommy and I were playing in the backyard and I tripped over this mysterious looking rock that was sticking straight out of the ground.  After looking it over for awhile (since it seemed very different than all the other rocks), we noticed what looked like little tiny dinosaur bones captured all over the surface of it!  That's when Avery the Archaeologist took over the find!  Below are pictures from my excavation.

Avery carefully digging out what looked like dinosaur bones

Eureka!  A pelvic and leg bone of a baby Diplodocus
(and yes, a spoon is an excellent excavation tool)!!!

Avery carefully assembling the baby dinosaur bones back together
(note that you absolutely must do this shirtless so that you
don't lose any bones in a shirt pocket or anything like that)

A full size baby Diplodocus that I will be
donating to my local museum!!!

Wow, Avery! That is quite a rare specimen. It must have been very challenging to get all those bones put together in the right place. Good job!

So my little poppet is going to be a scientist! Well done!

A concerned observer

PS As cute as your belly is, you may want to consider a shirt. Maybe something Indiana Jonesish.
