Super Creepy Halloween 2016!!!!

Emery getting super excited for Halloween, 

 over a month in advance!!!

And as it came closer and closer, lots of creepy activities 

popped up like "Creepy Crawlers Playtime" ...

... pumpkin carving (at Avery's school) ...

 

... photos with our carved-up creepy pumpkins ...

... and most importantly, getting ready for school

parties like Emery's "Trunk or Treat" ... 

first apply a little blush ...

... and then a dab of lipstick to turn Emery into a ...

... perfect little princess!!!

Along with Avery the scary/happy ghost!!!

And there were so many friends at "Trunk or Treat" 

such as Chiara and Sora ...

... and Emery's teachers as a pair of "M-and-M's" 

(get it, Mrs McKenzie and Mrs Michelle) ...

... and then you would never guess who 

Emery ran into next ...

... her BFF, Savanna!!!

There was even time to relax, eat popcorn, and watch 

a creepy movie with everyone!!!

Next up was Avery's creepy school party, 
"Spiders and Ciders"!!!

Avery ran around with all her spooky friends 
(look at their eyes!!!) playing games ...

... and hitting the dance floor ...

... to do the creepiest dance of all, "Thriller"!!!

"Cause this is thriller, thriller at night"

"And no one's gonna save you 

from the beast about to strike"
 ["the beast" does not mean Avery]

Even Emery had a special surprise there too ...
her other BFF, Hayley!!!

Finally it was time to get out and start 

"trick or treating" for some candy!!!

 And when we got home, there was an extra spooky 
image of a huge bird imprint on the front window!!!

But in the end, as usual, Halloween always ends with 
deflated carved-up pumpkins!!!

NY NY, The Girls-Only Trip!!!

Things have been extremely boring lately, so we decided on taking a "Girls-Only" (ie no Daddy, someone needs to watch the dogs!) out-of-town trip! And where would be the perfect place ... none other than New York City to see our one and only Auntie Em!!! Here are just a few snapshots of our travels ...

the plane and fly away ...

... and now one hour into the long flight, 
it's goodnight ... until ...

... snack time!!!

And then just like a dream, Emery wakes-up 

the next day in Auntie Em's cozy bed!

Quickly off we all went that very first day, 
trekking all through the big city ...

... riding the fun subways ...

... getting bored on those long subways ...

... but all the travel time was worth it to see 

the coolest stuff ever at the 
Museum of Natural History!!!

There was crazy cool stuff everywhere ...

... super-duper exciting crazy cool stuff ...

... all the animals and settings were 
just frozen in time forever ...

... even all the cute little guys ...

... so much amazing fun that we next had to go ...

... eat a ton of spaghetti for dinner ... 
it was so good we licked the plates clean!!!

Then the next day we sailed the 
high seas in search of ...

 ... great "big city" photos backdrops ...


... right by the water is always so much fun!!!

Then it was time for snacks at the 
Brooklyn Bridge Park, along with...

... some Merry-Go-Round time 
(more like a couple of dozen times) ...

... tons and tons of swinging time ...

... super twisty never-ending slide time ...

... and then of course lunch, with huge fries!!!

And then we got serious with some great MOMA
 time (while somebody took a long nap) ... 

Avery by one of her favorite artists, Vincent van Gogh ...

... and then at another very interesting art piece ...

... and then ... hey, Avery has a shirt with this same picture on it ...

... finally, here's another piece that captures 

the feeling of the very busy day!!!

The next day started off with a huge bang going 
to see the greatest show ever ... STOMP!!!

Then a jog down to Chinatown ...

... to find the coolest Chinese dragon costume ever ...

... along with some more mid-day snacks ...

... and some more fun subway rides ...

... and some more getting bored on those 
long subway rides ...

... but all of that soon paid off when we got to see the greatest library 

ever, The NY Public Library, along with The Library Lion ...

... and then of course ending with another great dinner out!!!

Finally it was time to head back home, 
but someone very important was missing!?!?!?

Ducky was found still snuggled up cozy in bed,
right before we had to rush off to the airport!!!

Goodbye Auntie Em and goodbye NY City!!!
