Fun times with our one-and-only Hayley!!!
With school starting up for Avery and now even for myself as I enter preschool, it's time to bid a fond farewell to our best friend and honorary sister Hayley as she moves on to challenging new adventures!!!But .... before we say our goodbyes, we created a special little song and dance just for her ...
Oh how we loved our sweet little Hayley,
oh how we loved her each day and each night ...
... with her goofy nature and smiles oh so bright
she made our world so much more full of light ...
... she was our best friend, a bouncing board of sage advice,
doubling at times into a lounging chair, all soft and nice...
... she made us laugh and giggle, even sing and dance with flair,
our sweet little Hayley made us oh so fully aware ...
... that good friends are always good friends,
no matter where they live, near or far ...
... and no matter what lies ahead for all of us,
our friendship is long-lasting, an equal to the stars ...
... so as tragic as it all may seem, so deeply deeply tragic indeed,
leaving isn't really leaving, even as time will surely precede ...
... for us and our sweet Hayley, we will always be intertwined,
true friendships last forever, and ours will last all of time!!!
So shh, our sweet Hayley,
don't you even say a word.
Since goodbyes are not forever,
goodbyes are not the end.
They simply mean we'll miss you,
