Happy Thanksgiving!!!

We had the best Thanksgiving ever! Watch how our weekend full of surprises unfolded ...

Thanksgiving first started out with tons of snow?!??!!

(ok, it was just fake snow, but super fun none the less)

 Then a surprise visitor, the one-and-only Auntie Em!!!

 We even got to run around pretending to be reindeer ...

 ... one of us was more a goofy reindeer than the other!!!

We had a great Thanksgiving Day feast, 

starting with a toast to the turkey ...

... although Avery didn't really care for turkey meat this year!!!

After the great feast, it was time to burn off some energy ...

... first, the parade of flying brooms ...

... next, an interpreted free-flowing dance sequence ...

... with amazing vocals ...

... spectacular theatrics ...

... tons of full body gestures ...

... and super high jumps ...

... plus lots of audience participation!!!

After the finale, big hugs from our biggest fan ...

... who is also our favorite jungle gym ...

... that we get to climb up on and all over ...

... and bounce on (even when it hurts) ...

... since Auntie Em is the absolute best Auntie ever!!!

And then as usual after all of that wildness get released, 

someone get a boo-boo (a rather large one this time),

but at least Auntie Em was there to make it all better!!!

Visiting Grandparents ...

Grandma Judy and Grandpa Eric drove all the way down for a visit this weekend and here is what we all did ...

Played Frisbee for hours and hours ...

... did arts and crafts projects for hours and hours ...

... went to a car show for hours and hours ...

... and even got to ride in a car just our size, with a tiger!!!

Of course we had to go show-off Sparky to them ... 

... and then celebrate our great riding skills 

with a huge fancy dinner!!!

We took a long trip down to a pumpkin patch ...

... and ran through a hay maze for hours and hours ...

... really, we were stuck in that maze forever!!!

We fed lots of farm animals ...

... took lots of funny selfies ...

... searched for just the right size of pumpkins ...

... we searched forever for the most perfect pumpkins ...

 

... and finally found a bunch of them!!!

 We went to Avery's school to meet her teacher ...

... and then to watch Emery's swim class!!!

During our relaxing down time, 

we played card games for hours and hours ...

... Avery got really into every game ...

... and even beat Grandma Judy a few times!!!

But best of all was ending their trip with long bedtime

Searching for Clues ...

Sometimes we have to upgrade our clue searching equipment. The really fun part is testing it all out! Here we are at the butterfly exhibit testing new magnifying glasses that can see right through all the cluttered leaves and bushes, straight to what hides deep within ...

Sure Girls Can Play Football!!!

Last weekend while on campus tailgating for the big game we got into a huge debate with some friends (a bunch of boys) about how girls can't really play football. Our position was "what a load of poop" where the boys just laughed and laughed and laughed, so Avery and I had to pull out a pigskin and settle this out on the field ...

QB Avery hands off to Emery ...

... where Mathew then starts to tackle her, 

but not before pitching the ball back to Avery ...

 

... who then takes off and Emery circles around back  ...

... to throw a block on Mathew for Avery ...

... as Avery runs it in for the final touchdown!!!
