 Happy Halloween!!!

One of the best holidays of the year hands down is Halloween! Kids get to dress-up as anything they want, eat all the candy they want, and just be as plain crazy as they want!!! Here are some pictures from our Halloween this year ...

First off, you start with plain ol' boring pumpkins ...

... and they you get a great artist (such as Avery) 

to draw all sorts of details on the pumpkins ...

... and then you get out sharp knives and scoopers and 

bowls for all the pumpkins guts and then ...

... voila, super cool/scary jack-o-lanterns!!!

Notice that this little guy looks a lot like a famous Mouse!!!

Getting everything ready for a super long night 

full of tons of tricks and treats!!!

This is how scary they looked in complete darkness!!!

First, we were off to a private party at our good friends 

Mathew and Andrew's house, were we had lots of fun,

especially with our good friend Sophie ...

... we played tons of games ...

... and had tons of exciting fun with everyone!!

Next we were off to a school party ...

... Avery battling it out during the great Cake-Walk!!!

Finally, it was time for some real Trick-or-Treating!!!

There were tons of interesting costumes ...

... Emery did great her first "real time" out

Plus, Daddy pulling us from house to house made more time for ...

... tons and tons of candy eating!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sometimes time apart is a really good thing ...

"Sometimes it's good to be apart from one another", at least that's what Mommy and Daddy seem to think about Avery and me. So to put some separation between us, Mommy whisked Avery away for a trip to New York City to visit Auntie Em and I went on a "stay-cation", which is basically staying home with Daddy. Daddy and I usually have tons of fun, but I'm not sure we'll have more fun than Mommy and Avery!!! First up is Avery's big adventure ...

Ok, so it's off to all the great museums ...

... to see tons of art everywhere ...

... and tons of candy everywhere  ...

... and tons of toys everywhere ...

... with tons of great eats everywhere ...

... tons of indoors sights ...

... tons of outdoors sights ...

... and don't forget the tons of fun rides ...

... but also the tons of stinky big city smells ...

... at least there are tons of fancy rest areas 
everywhere for a quick Mommy foot rub ...

...and let's not forget the tons of great shopping ...

 

 ... doesn't Avery look cute ...

... plus tons of fun kid play areas ...

... and tons of quiet book shops to read in ...

... and tons and tons of fresh cheesy macaroni ...

 ... and tons of subway riding ...

... and tons of fresh park doughnuts to eat ...

... the tons of great musicals to go to ... 

(Avery says Aladdin was so awesome!!!)

... over-sized tons of neat stuff to see ...

... even tons of rats running thru the subways ...

... with tons of captured big huge old bones ...

... plus tons of huge whales flying thru the city ...

 ... and don't forget the tons of postcards to mail ...

 ... and then maybe one more fancy big city dinner ...

... and then a final cab ride back to the airport!!!

Ok, that looked sort of fun, so here's my big adventure with big Daddy ...

Daddy and Emery starting off by "playing" in the sandbox ...

 ... and then there was plenty of "slits" time ...

 ... and Daddy even let Emery dress herself every day ...

 ... with many many MANY "hide and seek" 
games all throughout the day!!!

 ... especially getting to shoot Daddy with the squirt-guns!!!

 The usually "run to the park for playtime" 

Saturday mornings fun-tastic times ...

... and then super fun night-time dog walks, 
riding high-up in the backpack!

But nothing really beats Avery and Emery happily back together again!!!

Solo adventures are fun, but it's usually more fun with a BFF like my sister!!!

So, yeah ... Avery wins! I think she had a much better adventure, right??? So when do I get to go on a New York big city adventure, Mommy?????
