It takes more than a skull fracture to keep me down ...

Emery being treated for a skull fracture at the hospital

Thanks again to everyone out there for the great outpouring of concern over my recent accident. I guess you can call me "thick headed", "hard headed", "unbreakable", etc since my multi-inch skull fracture across the back of my head really hasn't slowed me down much and will heal all by itself over time. The most annoying part of it all was sitting in the emergency room for hours and hours and hours.

It's still all a giant blur as to what exactly happened, but I'm very glad that I had family right there with me before, during, and after the accident (although it would have been better if they were only an observer instead of a participant, especially the whole "falling down right on top of me as I hit the ground").

Note to self, I need to start walking on my own so I don't have to worry about someone fumbling me again in the future!!!

Mommy Is Gone!?!!?

I guess Mommy really does have a REAL job (outside of taking care of Avery and me, that is) which sometimes has her going away on long overnight business trips for days and days and days. Last weekend was just one of those times, but there was no need for alarm since Daddy had everything under control ... and even made some typical everyday happenings much much more fun!!!

Starting with hot dogs for breakfast and a side of jellybeans ...

... followed by super-duper long playtime to totally go berserk ...
just watch the videos below and see ...

Even bath time wasn't the same since who really needs
soap anyway when you have super fast splashing abilities ...

... and lastly, who needs calm bedtime stories when a bed can
instantly turn into a wrestle-mania ring until we both pass out!!!

Such an awesome time, Daddy!!!

To All My Doubters ...

Emery hard at work on the blog

There has been a lot of internet scuttlebutt lately that it's impossible for me (Emery here, as usual) to produce such a skillfully crafted blog all on my own and thus, this is all an elaborate hoax. Now to be fair, I must admit that I have all the help, love, and support a baby like me could ever hope for from my wonderful family. Also my big sister Avery has taught me all the ins-n-outs of blogging. But rest assured and without a doubt that I am indeed the main innovator, designer, and implementer of this great blog forum you see right here in front of you.

Thus, below is a video of my formal response to all of the remaining doubters out there ... enjoy!

Duh, Of Course I Can Walk!!!

Emery casually walking to her room

I guess sometimes I even amaze myself (Emery speaking of course).

Everyone was "so surprised" today when I "suddenly" walked up and down the hall, even going as far as pushing a heavy toy for fun. Little did they all know that I have been secretly walking for months now and only crawling when I knew they were watching me.

Why would I conceal all of this, you ask? Well see, I prefer to be babied and we all know once they see you walking, then next it's help do this, help do that, here are your weekly chores, and on and on and on.

Who wants all that busy-body work??? Not me!!!

Here's a video Daddy took of me today (since he really thinks this is something "new") ...

At least it was fun to finally let everyone in on my secret. Avery and I even had some fun playing "chicken" all day long!

Beep, beep ... Emery trying to "run over" Avery ...

... anyone is fair game when Emery is on the loose!

The Mystery of the Sky Turning Upside-down ...

Even though I (Emery here again since I like typing most of the blog nowadays) was only born a few short months ago, I thought that I had seen it all. That is until just the other day when I saw weird white stuff falling everywhere, straight out of the sky? I ran crying throughout the house warning everyone that we needed to run and hide, but wise big sister Avery told me she knew exactly what was occurring and that it was going to instead be a great fun time ...

Emery not believing her eyes as whiteness
drifted downwards all around outside

View out the front of the house

 View of the backyard

 Avery and Emery's snowman ...
just one of the many that were built

And then the cruel harsh sun melted away
all the snow (and snowmen) ...
that is until next time!!!
