Goodbye 2012 ... Hello 2013!!!

Emery super excited for the new year!!!

It's hard to believe that this year has flown by so fast! So many exciting new things have happened ... including most importantly, my wonderful arrival (Emery here)! So sit back and walk down memory lane with me ...

First off, we have the best Daddy in the world ...

... paired with the best Mommy in the universe!!!

Let's not forget all the obstacles in our path this year, such as
Emery's immobility issue which demanded constant care ...

... where all of that downtime only became bottled-up
motivation to get up and start walking sooner than ever!!

Avery even overcame her fear of bike
riding to become a real bike pro ...

... while also venturing into a great fearful unknown,
also known as "the public school system" ...

... just look at how terrified they all are in her class ...

... and Avery even gave up all of her free time
to be such a great big sister to me!!!

Even though I'm sure I drove her plenty
crazy when I would mess up all her toys ...

... and I really mean it, I would get into everything
... I just love messing up all her stuff ...

... but she must not have minded it that much
since she would always join me in the fun!!!

We even went on road trips to see family and friends ...

... such as visiting Great Grandma Lucille ...

... and throwing wild parties at Great Grandma Lucille's
house ... shh, don't tell her ...

... where we were always the life of the party ...

... always right in the center of it all,
having fun with everyone, everywhere ...

... whether it was meeting new cousins ...

... or playing with our great fun aunts!!!

We even had tons of visitors this year,
such as our one-and-only Auntie Em ...

... the lovely Nikki and maestro Dan ...

... our interesting buddy Mr. Mathew ...

... Grandma Judy and Grandpa Eric ...

... and of course, Grandma Wendy and Grandpa Charlie!!!

And all of the wonderful and exciting toys to play with,
no matter if they were brand spanking new ...

... or very very old, like Grandma's childhood toys ...

... where most of the time
these very old toys were the most fun ...

... we always had a super fun and amazing time playing together!

And we can't forget about Scout-No ...
what a great best friend/dog!

And lastly, we have to mention all the great treaty treats ...
or so I hear that is, since I can't have any of that ice cream yet ...

... but I can at least pretend, right???

So goodbye 2012, you are now behind us ...
and watch out 2013, we are headed straight ahead!!!

'Monkey Walking' Around

Why 'Monkey Walk'???
Well, it's when you don't like to crawl, but can't yet walk

Everyone thinks it's sooo funny how I (Emery here) prefer to get around these days. From my point of view, crawling is for those slow-pokes that have nowhere to go and since I'm still learning how to balance, walking isn't in the cards yet, so in the meantime my hybrid approach seems to work perfectly. Take a look in the video below and tell me what you think ...

That Mysterious Santa

Emery, Avery, & Scout-No having some holiday cheer

Some may say that it's truly impossible for Santa to be everywhere in only one night, but we (Emery typing here, but Avery is right besides me) wanted to scientifically test this famous hypothesis to remove any more doubt forever!!!

We setup a simple "Experiment" that included writing our Christmas lists in "Elf" that only Santa (or his Elf helpers) could read and then also leaving out goodies that only Santa would eat. We even added a decoy goodie, where Avery researched that Santa loves Chocolate milk more than plain white milk, so if the Chocolate milk was gone, that would prove that Santa at least came to our house. Also, in our Christmas list we left highly detailed maps in "Elf" of which exact presents we requested, plus which ones should go to which location (some where to be placed under our Christmas tree and others under Grandma Wendy's & Grandpa Charlie's tree).

Our definitive results are as follows:

 Setup of our "Experiment"

 Test 1:
Chocolate milk was gone and the white milk was left untouched ...
that proves Santa at least came to our house (plus he left a note)!!!

Test 2:
All our the presents we requested for under our Christmas tree
where there, exactly as we detailed ...
that again proves that Santa came to our house and he could read
our "Elf" worded lists and map symbols  ...
but could he also full fill our present requests for our Grandparent's house???

Test 3:
Everything we requested was at our Grandparents house ...
Santa did it ... he went to at least two locations!!!

Success ... we scientifically proved that Santa is in fact real!!!

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

The Mystery Behind Emery's Superhuman Strength

A few months after I (Emery here) was born, they noticed something very "different" about my body. At first it was seen as some type of "defect" where I was immediately forced into this awful restrictive type of device and told to be handled in a very delicate and constrained manner.

Emery's very delicate and constrained
manner of transportation

Now after months and months of these excessive safeguards, my progress has become unexplainable. A complete 180/360/720 degree turnaround has occurred and my body has developed into an extraordinary machine capable of superhuman feats of strength! Below is a video of my current capabilities during this unbelievable transformation ...

And while some out there might be tempted to use their superhuman strengths to their advantage, I am one that will always temper my actions with wisdom and promise to always use my powers only to help others, especially during our SIS adventures ... note that this might sometimes include "helping" Avery not be as bossy as she sometimes gets.
