Avery's Big Summer Adventure: Part 2, Meeting "The Mouse"

After the wedding extravaganza, we drove south along the coastline where I fell asleep and woke up to a world I had never been to before, except for in my very best dreams!  There were castles, princesses, fun storytelling rides, and actual walking/talking lifelike characters right from all of my favorite storybooks!!  When I asked Mommy and Daddy where were we, all they said was "Disneyland!!!".  Here are just a few of the best moments from our never-ending visit ...

Mommy and Avery at the start of
our Disney adventure

Here's a video clip of how I felt upon entering the gates of the iconic castle ...

Our very first ride was a flying Dumbo,
just like in his storybook ....

... Mommy buckled us up for safety ...

.... and away we go!!!

Here's a video of all of us on Dumbo (even Daddy rode too).  And yes, we went on this ride many many many times ...

Next up was the Alice in Wonderland ride ...
does it look like I enjoyed it???

And here's a video of us riding on Heimlich the Worm (from "A Bug's Life") while he eats a big lunch ...

Avery making beautiful music

Avery trying to see straight after
finishing the Tea Cups ride

Here's a video of us in a Yellow Submarine ride (which was really really awesome) ...

Avery taking a brief, but well deserved, nap
after tons and tons and tons of more rides!!!

Avery driving us around Disneyland
after we were all so tired of walking all day

Here's a video of Avery's "great" driving skills ...

Avery and Daddy taking a car ride to Goofy's house ...

... where Goofy was actually at home and
we even got to chat for awhile!!!

Avery trying to see Pluto in person,
but no luck, he wasn't home ...

... so Avery bought (thanks to Auntie Sherry)
a Pluto hat instead!!!

The next house visit was to the main character
of the kingdom ... the big head honcho ...

... and what luck, Mickey Mouse was home and took time
out of his busy schedule just to say "Hi" to me!!!

Thanks Mommy and Daddy ... this vacation was totally awesome!!!  Watch for Part III of Avery's Big Summer Adventure coming soon, where we took a well needed break from our vacation and just relaxed on the beach ...

Avery's Big Summer Adventure: Part 1, The Flower-Butterfly Girl

Sorry it's been awhile since my last blog entry, but I have been really busy lately relaxing after taking my long and very busy vacation.  We loaded up the car again this summer and drove out toward the coast to see relatives, go to parties, swim at the beaches, and most of all, meet a very famous mouse!!!  Here's pictures from Part I of the trip, where I played a very very critical role in a very very fancy and famous wedding ...

Mommy and Avery having fun at our rest-stop picnic
during the very long road trip ...

...  after the car ride I got to stretch my legs
running around with my new best friend Maddy,
the other flower girl ...

... and then kept on running and dancing all around
and I saw tons of my relatives at the party too ...

... like Great Grandma Lucille ...

... and cousin Travis ...

... and Grandma and Auntie Sherry ...

... and then of course cousin Danielle who's the main reason
for everyone coming to the parties and wedding ...
although I was sort of shy at first (and so was Maddy too!!!)
since she was in this super white Fancy Nancy dress
and I didn't want to do anything to mess it up at all ...

... but then I felt better after she bent down
and I could see the fancy dress was already a little
dirty from letting it drag all around on the ground ...

... next was to prepare for my big part in the
wedding, getting to throw flower peddles all
around and not be in trouble ... what fun!!!

Maddy and Avery throwing flower peddles
(note that I ran out already halfway down the aisle)

Here's a video of the flower tossing and walking ...

Here's the big moment, Danielle and Ryan's wedding vows ...

... and now that the wedding is over, it's time to DANCE!!!

Here's a video of me showing all the girls the latest moves ...

... and then here's me with Mommy and Daddy on the dance floor ...

Mommy, Daddy, and Avery after the absolute
best wedding ever that had me as a flower girl

Watch for Part II of Avery's Big Summer Adventure coming soon!!!

"Everyday Art" by Avery...

I like to imagine everyday things around me as pieces to an artistic puzzle that only I know how to put together.  Behold some of my recent working art arrangements ...

 "Timely Tiger Tasting Treats"

 "Pinky in Wooden Clogs"

"Jazzy Flip-Flop Tunes From a Truck"

"Little Tiger Carries Burdens on His Shoulders"

"Buckle Up"

"Lawn Solar System"

"Light Inside a Balloon Inside a Balloon"

Note that I can not take credit for creating this last work of art ... but it was a true beauty that I just had to possess once it caught my eye during my "Great Big Summer Vacation Adventure", which will be detailed in the next three blog installments, so stay tuned!!!

Everyone Loves a Parade ...

... especially when you get to be in one!!!  My good buddy Mathew called the other day to invite me out to his neighborhood's 4th of July parade and he said we were not only going to get to watch it, but also get to be in the parade as well.  I told him right away "I would absolutely love to go!" and couldn't wait until Monday!!!

Avery and Mathew getting their rides ready
for their parade time tricks

Here we go ...
right after the decorated cars and firetrucks!!!

Why, oh why are we so behind and
everyone seems to be passing us!??!?!

Avery and her "slow" parade chauffeur .... Daddy!

Happy 4th of July everyone!!!!
