Merry Christmas Eve

Avery's note and snacks left out for Santa

It's getting very late now and I need to get into bed and turn off all the lights before Santa passes my house over, but I know I'll be just too busy tomorrow opening presents to send out a new Christmas day blog posting, so to everyone out there that reads these, "Have a Merry Christmas and I hope Santa brings you a little something good as well"

.... See Santa, I try to be a good little girl, so try to remember to bring me the good stuff!!!

Christmas Time in The Big Apple

Avery after a long day in the big city

Mommy, Daddy, and I decided to fly off to the Big Apple to see my Auntie Em last week.  Here's are some of the pictures and videos from our super fun winter trip.

Legs kicked up, reclining, watching 'toon,
and eating snacks is how I like to fly!

We started off the trip spending lots of time
in auntie's apartment playing Scrabble
(I like to play without any clothes on) ...

... and then coloring on the floor ...

... and showing off my dance moves ...

... and taking baths in "big city"colored water ...

... and then finally deciding to get dressed
and go play outside ...

... where we would have donuts in the park ...

... and then after all that sugar
I would chase Auntie around and around ...

... and then do something I never get to do while
at home, like kicking tons of leaves ...

... and then play on all sorts of interesting
big city park toys in Auntie's backyard!

Then we would take the subway
into the bigger big city ...

... where sometimes it was completed packed ...

... and other times it was completely empty except for us.

In the bigger big city we would walk and walk and walk ...

... we would go uptown ...

... to midtown ...

... to downtown ...

... to even down by the water to see the Statue of Liberty herself!

And all the interesting city people we ran into,
like Micky and Minnie out shopping ...

... and fairy snow princesses ...

... and weird gold dancing monkeys!

And all the super fun toys I saw everywhere ...

... there were so many toys that I
couldn't hardly slow down to explain it all ...

... like cute cuddly things ...

... to kitchenette and cookery things ...

... to fun puppets and great books ...

.... and even places where you could draw on the
walls with crayons ... at least I hope so anyway!

There was so much neat stuff that I had
to buy something for someone,
so I picked out a great book for the new baby
that will be here soon!

Then we went to museums where I got to see so many
old dinosaur bones, even all put back together ...

... and then neat stuffed fish displays ....

... and even monstrous sea creatures joking around with each other!

Auntie and Daddy even ran in a race ...

... it was fun to watch, but really really cold out!

When it was time to go, I wanted to leave
Auntie with a special present so I got her a
Christmas tree after she went to work ...

... and then I decorated it all myself,
with candy canes and bulbs ...

... and tinsel and lights ...

... it turned out fabulous!!!

Here's a video of the fun I had decorating the Christmas tree ...

Thanks Mommy and Daddy for taking me
to see my Auntie Em!!!  See you soon, Auntie!!!

"Working at the Car Wash" ...

Avery's latest business venture

With all the rain we had yesterday, I decided that I could make some spending money (for buying Christmas gifts, of course) by opening up a car wash.  I even hired my first employee, Shannon.  Well, technically I made her a co-owner, but I'm still the CEO!  We're calling our business, "Kiddie Car Care"!!!

Consider stopping by for the best car wash you'll ever have.  Notice the line of vehicles in the pic above ... we are that good!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Two of our Thanksgiving Day Guests

I hope all of you out there had a very happy and gut-busting Thanksgiving Day!  My good friends Nikki and Dan came over to eat turkey with us and we all had a very fun time.  In fact, it was so much fun that none of my usual photographers (you know who you are!) remembered to take any pictures, so the only pictures I have to share from the day are of our other guests that "flew over".  Daddy finally hung up my bird feeder Auntie Em sent me.  It's right outside my window so every morning I can open my blinds and see all my little feathered friends!

The bird feeder was such a hit on Thanksgiving Day
that all the birds formed a neat and orderly line to take turns!

What!!! Thanksgiving is this week!?!!?!?

Oh no!  Mommy goofed ... she thought Thanksgiving was weeks away, but since it's only days from today, I had to help her ransack the market, even grabbing a shopping cart that was just my size so we could split up the shelf space where anything low goes into my cart and Mommy takes the stuff up high for her cart.

What's going to work????  TEAMWORK!!!

Happy Halloween!!!

Happy Halloween!!!

My Halloween adventure this year started out way fun and blasted off into the realm of super-fun territory!  Here are a bunch of pictures taken along the way ...

Avery and Mathew at the Pumpkin Patch ...

... there was even a petting zoo ...

... with goats that swallowed WHOLE PUMPKINS!!!

We took a hay ride out to the pumpkin patch ...

... and I had to lead Mommy to where
all the good pumpkins were hiding ...

... since there were lots of pumpkins
that didn't look so great ...

... but I knew it when I found
just the right one, or rather it found me!

Then we took them home and gutted, carved, and
showcased our Great Pumpkins (the first pic) for all
to see ... and ate lots of pumpkin seeds as well!

Next was 'Trick or Treat' time, so
guess what I was this year ... here's a hint,
it starts with 'snow' and ends with 'white'!

My good friend Shannon (or rather Sleeping Beauty)
and I loaded up in our chariot with out empty bags ...

... and our trusty white mare
(Shannon's Mommy) took us on our way ...

... and my other good friends (Nikki, Dan, and Sedona)
came too and even got all dressed up (just as I told them),
where I said one should be a bunny, one a dead frog,
and another a dog (guess who dressed up as which)!

This was our first stop, she was a REALLY nice lady who
gave us BIG-SIZED candy bars ...

... this was out next stop,
it was more scarier than the first ...

... and then this was the next one,
even more scarier ...
... now this house could have been VERY scary
except they dressed up EXACTLY the same
as last year so it didn't seem so scary this year!

Sedona even got 'treats' as well ...
although she preferred 'tricking' people instead
(like yanking Nikki all around everywhere) ...

... Shannon also liked pulling 'tricks',
such as tricking her Mommy by
EATING HER CANDY along the way!!!
