Need some expert advice here ...

It's hopeless I tell you ... just hopeless. I keep trying and trying, but I just can't make it all the way.

Can someone please critique my form/methods/execution and tell me what I'm doing wrong here?

Need a little assistance here ...

Avery 'crawling' around in her crib

This is just totally getting so frustrating ...

All I want to do is get from point A to point B in the crib, but while I frantically move my arms, hands, feet, and legs in every which direction, I'm always still stuck in the exact same spot I started. This is totally unfair ... I see babies on TV crawling all around all the time, so why can't I do it? I would have thought that all my physical training to date has made me buff enough to literally 'pull my own weight', right? I just don't get it ...

And I'm really really sick of that dumb baby staring at me all the time through that window ... I even get this funny feeling she's laughing at me as I wildly thrash about. And while I can admit that I probably do look quite funny during this process (sort of like an upside down turtle), just who exactly does she think she is? Stupid window baby!!!

My first own pet ...

Mommy and Daddy are always trying to pull a fast one on me, but this last time it was to surprise me with my first own pet!!! Now I really really love Scrappy, Scout-No, and Suzie, but how exciting is it that I'm seen as 'old enough' to have a pet that's all my own?
I sort of felt that Mommy wasn't just borrowing Grandma & Grandpa's spare truck because her own car broke down ... and low and behold, the real reason was to bring home Fluffy!!! I'm still not really sure why his temporary home/habitat was on top of and all around the block engine of the truck (maybe he likes to keep warm?) or even how Mommy was able to drive the truck all the way home like that without spilling Fluffy and his home everywhere along the way, but she did it. I think it was even a big surprise to Daddy too since he sort of jumped and yelled when Fluffy came running out from under the front bumper towards him after we got home ... Mommy sometimes likes to surprise Daddy too.

I think it only took Daddy a few hours to collect and transfer Fuffy's home from the truck ... and I guess Fluffy is more of an outside pet since he ran straight into our backyard. I've been looking for him (and so have the dogs), but I haven't been able to take any pictures of him yet. When I do get a pic of him, Ill post it for all of you to see ... he's just so so cute!!!

So, exactly how many weeks are in 60 years?

Avery with Grandpa on his birthday

I had a really fun time out at dinner the other night. We all went out for Grandpa's birthday where he just turned 60 years old ... yeah, 60 years old ... wow, huh ... that seems kind of old to me! Mommy and Daddy told me the other day that I just turned 16 weeks old, so I wondered, how many weeks are in 60 years? I kept asking this question over and over to everyone during dinner, but no one would answer me. One of them would just grab me and shuffle me outside to go for a walk ... how annoying, right?

So, I had time to figure it all out by myself today ... I googled "number of weeks in a year" and it's 52, so that means Grandpa just turned 60*52 = 3,120 weeks!!! No way ... that seems super duper old!!! In fact, that's around 200 times older than me (3,120/16 = 195).

That's just incredible!!!!

USA ... USA ... USA ...

Avery enjoying the Olympics at home
(in her new favorite chair)

I just love love love watching the Olympics ... I mean really, what's better than watching all of the world's best athletes compete with one other over the duration of just a few weeks??? All of those high level competitors (many unknown) from all around the world getting their 'moment in the spotlight' ... it's just such a beautiful thing to see. And I'm going out on a limb here, but I predict Phelps will win all 8 of those golds he's up for (especially after seeing that photo finish win of his seventh Beijing gold last night ... it just has to be his destiny).
Plus, I get to watch it all from my great new (well, new to me) favorite comfy lounging chair. My good friend Abbie gave it to me last week (since she could only wear it as a hat now) and look, it fits me just perfect!

Kick, Kick, Kick ...

Since I'm currently on this big tear with "all this wild kicking going on" (as Daddy would say), I decided to write another song and show off my new dance moves in my first ever video. I try to sing it in the tune of "Shake Your Booty" by KC & the Sunshine Band (get the tune here http://www.mp3lyrics.org/k/kc-the-sunshine-band/shake-your-booty/ ) ... hope you like it ... and no, I'm not singing the tune in the video (I'm not really that good of a singer ... yet).

Kick Your Feeties

---------------------

Everybody get down on the floor, let's kick!
Don't fight the urge, give yourself a chance, just kick!
Kick Kick Kick, Kick Kick Kick,
Kick your feeties! Kick your feeties!
Oh, Kick Kick Kick, Kick Kick Kick,
Kick your feeties! Just kick your feeties.
You know you can, oh yes, you just know you can.
You're the best darn kicker in the whole wide world, just kick!
Kick, Kick Kick, Kick Kick Kick,
Kick your feeties! Kick your feeties!
Oh, Kick Kick Kick, Kick Kick Kick,
Kick your feeties! Just kick your feeties.

Yeah ...
Kick Kick, Kick Kick!
Kick Kick, Kick Kick!

Yeah ...

Kick your feeties! Kick your feeties!
Kick Kick Kick, Kick Kick Kick,
Kick your feeties! Kick your feeties!
Oh, Kick Kick Kick, Kick Kick Kick,
Kick your feeties! Kick your feeties!!!
Yeah ...

Funny Faces

Sometimes when I'm bored or just goofing around the crib, I like to work on my facial impersonations of famous people ... you know, you never really know when something like that will come in handy (for job interviews, starting an acting career, cracking a joke with friends, ...). So get a load of these ... my best facial impersonations to date ...

Guess who this is ... this is my pose of that classic goofy photo of Albert Einstein (seen here: http://physics.about.com/od/alberteinstein/ig/Albert-Einstein-photos/Albert-Einstein-tongue-picture.htm ). Maybe high levels of goofiness and smarts do go hand-in-hand.

And this is me copying a silly Lily Allen moment, when she was in one of her weird moods (seen here: http://www.bestweekever.tv/bwe/images/2008/02/lily%20allen%20fist.jpg ). What a goofball.

And this is my famous Dick Cheney pose ... you know, his great hall-of-fame half-smile/half-smirk expression (seen here: http://www.newsgroper.com/files/legacy/ap080131015614.jpg ). His smirks just get better and better with his age, with I'm sure many more years of them to be witnessed ... although, he'll probably become a full cyborg soon enough and then his smirks will most likely become a little bit more robotic than fun and lovable.

And this is one of my favorites ... this is my serious mental anguish pose from Amy Sedaris' character Jerri Blank in 'Strangers With Candy' (seen here: http://www.peta2.com/outthere/page/amy-sedaris-FUR-72.jpg ). She is truly an underrated artist ... just way too funny.

And finally, this is my best-of-best ... guess who this one is??? It's just me being happy me (especially when I get to look up and see Mommy smiling down right at me).

Who's that baby in the window ...

So looks like money is tight around the house right now since I now have to SHARE MY CRIB with some other baby!?!? ... just how much rent can a baby tenant really bring in??? And the worse part about all of this is that Mommy and Daddy didn't even bother to ask me what I thought about this or even have the decency to introduce this baby to me ... like, how can they do that to me ... they are total unfair and just trying to ruin my life!!!!

Also, this baby seems like some sort of a weirdo ... he/she/it seems to always be staring at me whenever I look over towards 'it'. Is 'it' always watching me??? Creepy ... I'm glad we are at least separated by this window. It just seems like too much of a coincidence that whenever I look over towards 'it', 'it' just happens to be looking right back at me. My parents don't even know the kind of long term mental trauma they are inflicting on me by this whole mess!!!

I guess I could make at least one nice comment about this baby (since I'm always open to making friends with anyone) ... 'it' does have really nice hair and a gorgeous set of eyes (blue, just like mine). Maybe sometime when I'm less freaked out about all of this, I'll start up a conversation and ask where I can get my hair done up just like that.

Why yes, I am wearing a tiara ...

... didn't you know that I am a Princess ... a Princess from the far away lands of the Island Pacific??? How do you think I came about owning a horse at such a young age ... all princesses need a 'Beauty' to ride immediately after birth.

I know, I know ... I do hide this fact very well from most people (since I like to be treated as a commoner when around all these peasants), but I just love to wear my tiara around the house from time to time ... so I guess you caught me ... the cat is finally out of the bag. You may all treat me like the royalty I truly am from now on.

I really wish my parents would prefer to make a big deal about all of this ... me being their Princess daughter and all ... like, who else do they know that's a princess and everything??? I think they just want to keep me well grounded and not too spoiled ... I guess I can't fault them for that.
